Well it looks like Nick Frost, Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike are going to have a new buddy joining them on the ultimate pub crawl in Edgar Wright’s finale to his “Cornetto Trilogy,” The World’s End.
It’s being reported that The Bourne Ultimatum star and director of Tyrannosaur Paddy Considine will be joining the five person crew on the epic pub crawl as a divorced architect and a former musician and ladiesman. Considine had a role a great role in Hot Fuzz as Andy Wainwright so he is no stranger to working with Frost, Wright and Pegg and will probably have some great comedic moments throughout the new picture.
The film is expected to be released sometime in the spring of 2013 under Universal’s Focus Features banner.
The film starts 20 years after five childhood friends attempted an epic pub crawl. The friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
