Oscar winner Penelope Cruz (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) is reteaming with her Vicky Cristina Barcelona director, Woody Allen, for his next project which is alleged to be set in Rome, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The actress only revealed the following about the upcoming project; “I know [what I’m doing next], but the thing is that I have to ask the director what I can say and what I cannot say… Because he’s very secretive. It’s… it’s a movie with Woody Allen. But I really cannot say anything about the story or the characters.”
There is no word yet on any other details, but it looks like the Spanish beauty is not slowing down after the recent birth of her son, Leo, with fellow Oscar winner and husband, Javier Bardem.
Allen’s upcoming Midnight in Paris will be released next month, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, and Marion Cotillard, just to name a few.
According to IMDB, Cruz’s schedule is open, and I’m excited to see her reunited with Allen in another Europe-based picture. Do you think Allen still has the goods to deliver Cruz in another powerful performance like in Vicky Cristina Barcelona?
