Roadside Attractions recently released the red band trailer for writer-director Jennifer Westfeldt’s new comedy Friends with Kids. The movie stars Adam Scott (“Parks and Recreation”), Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns in a cool and unique film that is acting as merely an extension of the friends with benefits idea.
We’ve already seen one trailer for the film before but since this film is rated R, we adults have been given an opportunity to see what the film will really be like. All I can say is that the trailer is honest to what the film is about with some completely unexpected things tossed into the mix, particularly at the end and I’ll leave it at that.
Friends with Kids will hit theaters on March 9, 2012 so check out the trailer and synopsis below and get ready the next potentially great ensemble comedy.
Friends With Kids is a daring and poignant ensemble comedy about a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
There are big laughs and unexpected emotional truths as this unconventional ‘experiment’ leads everyone in the group to question the nature of friendship, family and, finally, true love.
