The one comedy that I have been dying to see but haven’t yet had the opportunity to do so, is Mikkel Nøgaard’s Danish comedy KLOWN (Klovn). Everyone I’ve spoken to about this film says nothing is sacred and that it is a gut wrenching comedy that shouldn’t be missed. The film, which is based off of a popular televisions series won best film at both the Fantastic and Fantasia film festivals which, to any genre fan, is an impressive feat.
Below you will find the red band trailer to the film which simply shows you a few misleading quotes followed by one hilarious and definitely NSFW scene.
Oh, and in case you have doubts about foreign films, raunchy director Todd Phillips (The Hangover) will be producing an english language remake of the film with an equally raunchy counterpart, Danny McBride, who is set to star in it.
Klown stars Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen in the leading roles and is set to open Friday, July 27 in New York, Los Angeles, and Austin as well as on VOD platforms everywhere.
Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
KLOWN follows two friends, Frank and Casper, as they embark on a canoe trip that thinly veils their true intentions of a weekend of debauchery. When Frank discovers his girlfriend is pregnant and having doubts about his ability to be a father, Frank “kidnaps” her 12-year-old nephew and brings him along for the ride. Despite their new impressionable travel companion, Frank and Casper make no changes to their original raunchy itinerary. What follows is a hilarious series of misadventures.
