I thought the best way to start off this fine Tuesday morning would be to post a red band trailer for one of this year’s most talked about horror film, V/H/S, an anthology picture directed by Adam Wingard, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg and Ti West. I’ll be seeing the picture in due time but now I at least have some idea as to what to expect from the film, and it’s weird, really ‘effin creepy and full of a lot of shocking moments I definitely wasn’t expecting. Hopefully, what we’re shown in the trailer doesn’t truly spoil the movie for us and all of its scarier moments.
Graham caught V/H/S at SXSW and was rather disappointed by it but from what I just saw I won’t let his review get me down. Take a look at the trailer for yourself and do keep in mind that it probably isn’t safe for work but it should make horror fans pretty happy.
When a group of petty criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn’t going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are treated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last.
Magnolia will be releasing the film on VOD August 31 and will hit limited theaters on October 5
