I’m an immature guy sometimes, I realize that, which is why I usually enjoy mindless raunchy films regardless of their quality at my current age and why I’ll probably still like them when I’m 60 years old. I’ve enjoyed all three of director Nicholas Stoller’s directorial efforts thus far and his upcoming film Neighbors, starring Seth Rogan, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Lisa Kudrow, Jake Johnson, Ike Barinholtz, and Craig Roberts, looks like another winner in my eyes.
Neighbors is a R-rated comedy about a nice youngish/middle aged couple who live in a nice neighborhood and just had their first baby until a fraternity moves in next door causing all sorts of mayhem. Eventually, tension begins to build and a war is sparked between the opposing generational forces. What will happen is anyone’s guess but the trailer below is pretty funny and I’m pretty sure this is the film where guys will finally accept Zac Efron the way we all did with Channing Tatum after 21 Jump Street. Oh, and just look at the picture above, they are having a Robert deNiro party (genius!). How hilarious is Dave Franco’s impersonation of DeNiro from Meet the Parents?
Neighbors hits theaters May 9, 2014 but in the meantime check out the red-band trailer below.
Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne lead the cast of Neighbors, a comedy about a young couple suffering from arrested development who are forced to live next to a fraternity house after the birth of their newborn baby. Neighbors is directed by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek).
