What do you get when you put Hugh Jackman in a movie as a former boxer with giant fighting robots at his mercy? Real Steel! Now, what’s the result of the trailer? It’s extremely fun, very fast, and has nothing to do with the Transformers.
Some people are dubbing this movie as Fight Club meets Transformers but I don’t see that. This is just taking the concept of Rock ’em Sock ’em robots to a much larger and more intense level. Also, lets face it, rule number one is that you can talk about Real Steel and these steel robots can’t think (Transformers can)…HA, take that ‘people with the wrong idea!’ Anwyay, check out the sweet trailer along with a synopsis of Real Steel after the jump.
In addition to Jackman, the film stars Evangeline Lilly, Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand (Robin Hood) and Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker . It is being directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum), in his debut action movie.
