Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon (How Do You Know) is adding more credentials to her role as producer for her Type A company with an upcoming comedy, Rule #1. It is also expected that she will be starring in the film, directed by Courtney Hunt (Frozen River), according to Cinema Blend.
The movie follows “34-year-old Diana McBride, a woman coping with her OCD who agrees to take in an unpredictable young stranger – who happens to have a newborn baby – in an effort to face her anxieties. Ultimately, McBride’s plan is to win back her estranged husband by convincing him she can handle her chaotic existence.”
This sounds like the perfect movie for Witherspoon, who’s niche is definitely comedy, aside from her renowned performance as June Carter in Walk the Line. It’s interesting to see who will be paired up with the petite blond because she can really hold her own against any major leading actor in the industry today.
The actress can next be seen in This Means War with Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, and Chelsea Handler. Witherspoon is currently filming the drama Mud with Matthew McConaughey and Michael Shannon, and is in pre-production with Disney for Wish List.
