It’s about time! A teaser has finally been released for Jackie Chan’s 100th film entitled 1911 (or Xinhai Revolution). After months of marketing and the slow release of production photos and posters, we finally get our first look at some official film footage, and it looks just like the stills I’ve posted here.
While the trailer doesn’t offer up too much, it does give us a small idea of what to expect in terms of style and tone. Jackie looks extremely serious in this film and, when he’s serious, he usually gives us an amazing performance so I’m feeling good about this one.
The story of 1911 is as follows:
“A historical epic based on the 1911 Xinhai Revolution. The film tells the story of the founding of the Republic of China when Sun Yat-sen’s forces overthrew the Qing Dynasty.”
1911 is set to be released on October 12th in both the US and China. It is being co-directed by Jackie Chan and Li Zhang and stars Chan alongside Zhao Wen Xuan, Li Bingbing and Joan Chen.
What are your thoughts on the trailer? Are you excited to see a good Jackie Chan movie? Let us know in the comments section below.
