As if Ryan Gosling (Gangster Squad) wasn’t in demand enough, the Oscar nominated actor will be switching roles in his first directorial effort for How To Catch A Monster, which he also wrote, according to Variety.
Gosling’s Drive costar Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) is set to star in the film which is about “a vanishing city and centered on a single mother of two being swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town.”
There are no other details as of yet on casting, however principal photography is set to begin in the spring.
What do you think of Gosling’s turn behind the camera? Are you interested in seeing his story come to life on the big screen? Would you rather see him acting or directing?
