HAHAHAHAHAHA! Is it wrong for me to start a post off by laughing?
This past weekend at the Cineworld theater in Nottingham, kids as young as five along with their parents sat down to watch a screening of Madagascar 3 and left ‘scarred for life’ when the theater accidentally started playing Paranormal Activity 4.
For those of you who haven’t seen the latest film in the horror series, SPOILER the film opens up with a flashback from the end of the second film in which Katie kills baby Hunter’s mother and takes him away for demonic reasons END SPOILER. It was a pretty intense scene for adults so imagine the horror on the parents faces when they saw the scene on screen and then looked at their five and seven year old kids after. PRICELESS.
One of the mothers of kids said that
Everybody just scrambled for the exits, all you could hear were children crying and screaming. Everyone was very upset…It was only about two minutes worth of the film but it was enough to scar them for life.
Sounds like pandemonium in there.
She went on to say that she was disgusted about what happened and that “mistakes like this simply should not happen.” Well obviously not but how often do you hear of mistakes like this. It doesn’t happen that often but that’s what mistakes are, human error, it’s like she’s never made a mistake before. Like most people, she’ll get over it but I think her son Dylan might have some issues with movie theaters in the future. She said that “Dylan [had] not liked going to the cinema before but I thought we’d try it out. But now he never wants to go back.”
Dylan never wanting to go back is the only really sad thing about this story, but give him seven years, friendly peer pressure will get him back there in no time.
