Now I know this isn’t film related but South Park is by far my favorite show on television and probably the greatest show ever to hit the small screen (just my opinion). As such, and I know this is a little late, I wanted to share my Comic Con South Park Year of the Fan experience with you all.
At this little piece of heaven, also known as th reconstructed cardboard South Park town, you had the opportunity to eat cheesy poofs and slushees from Chef’s kitchen, take pictures on Cartman’s couch with the entire gang (which I did!), they had a big wheel derby for the little kids even though I was totally ready to race. You could get a south park spray tattoo or enter Tom’s Rhinoplasty where there was a South Park art exhibit. This exhibit was the one that appeared in NY that I missed a few months ago and was so glad I had the opportunity to check it out in San Diego. There was a lot of crazy art in addition to the paper cut-outs from the original days of South Park when it was all animated by hand.
Overall, this was one of my favorite parts of Comic Con because South Park is the one show I literally go gaga over, kind of the way everyone seems to go nuts over True Blood or Game of Thrones. It was so interactive, fun, and surprisingly made for the entire family. You can check out some of my pictures below, I’ll spare you one of my embarrassing ones.
