Warner Brothers have a new script circling round Hollywood at the moment, and it seems like Will Smith is set to get on board with it.
The film, Focus, is centered around an experienced con artist and a young inexperienced one. Set to be directed by Crazy Stupid Love’s Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the original plan was to reunited Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. When that plan backfired (Gangster Squad could have squashed that plan) Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart seemed on board. K-Stew dropped out due to the age difference and Ben Affleck had to drop out because, well, he’s Ben Affleck and he’s a man in demand.
With no big Hollywood A-Lister attached, Warner Brothers have turned to Will Smith, who they haven’t worked with since 2007’s I Am Legend. Smith is reportedly interested in working on something original and talks are rumoured to be in the final stages. He fits the bill and you could definitely see Smith pulling off the cool, suave and charming con artist.
With Will Smith potentially on board the only question left to ask is, who to get to star along side him?
