After being a big Star Wars fan in the mid 1990s as a young’un, I never thought I would ever be interested in seeing yet another Star Wars movie after The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones stunk up multiplexes around the world. Heck, I was so soured on Star Wars from the first two prequels that I still haven’t seen Revenge of the Sith in its entirety (although I am aware most think it is the best of the prequel trilogy). I went from being a fanboy to being totally disinterested in seeing a new Star Wars movie.
However, I have to admit I really am interested in seeing what Disney and J.J. Abrams cooks up with Star Wars: Episode VII, especially since Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, is co-writing the script with Abrams. However, Abrams is known for his extreme secrecy when it comes to making his films so we probably won’t learn much about the first installment of “The Sequel Trilogy” until well into 2015.
However, according to Harry Knowles as AintItCoolNews.com, the subtitle for Episode VII might have been leaked. According to his sources, the full title for the film will be Star Wars: Episode VII – The Ancient Fear. Though Knowles also noted that as of now that’s the “working title,” he says that the title refers to the character played by Max Von Sydow and compares his role in Episode VII to the evil demon Pazuzu that his character faced in The Exorcist. Von Sydow as ultra-evil Sith Lord? Sure, I’m on board with that!
Star Wars: Episode VII – Subtitle Not Yet Confirmed is set for a December 18, 2015 release. What do you think about the rumored subtitle? Let us know in the comments below!
