During Comic-Con this year I was able to attend the Hall H panel for Jackie Chan‘s supposedly final big budget action film Chinese Zodiac. You can check out my recap of the event here. During the event Jackie gave us the first look at what he’d been working on for the past seven years and the footage looked awesome. Today a teaser trailer for the film, which is also know as CZ12, has been released and we have that footage below.
In the clip you will see Jackie in a roller suit which was demonstrated live during the Hall H event via the French stuntman he found who specialized in this roller suit thing. So while Jackie usually does all of his stunts, some of the shots are actually the stuntman, so keep an eye out for the difference.
As you can see from the trailer it looks like Jackie is back and the film will be one hell of a ride. Like I said earlier, Jackie has been working on this film for seven years and is practically doing everything himself. He if producing, directing, writing, choreographing and acting. Will this truly be his last action film? Probably not but it will probably be the last film in which he is so highly involved. He did mention during Comic Con that he was approached to appear in The Expendables 2 however due to his work on CZ12 he was unable to. There have been rumors that if a third Expendables was to be green lit, he would likely be a part of the cast.
Chinese Zodiac is set to hit theaters December 20,2012
