While I still hate the name Dark of the Moon and feel it should be called Dark Side of the Moon, I at least now understand where the title came from after watching the teaser trailer for the third and final installment in the Transformers trilogy. I mean it does sound weird without the word “dark,” doesn’t it?
Shot almost entirely in 3-D, Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon is hopefully going to be the film where redemption is his number one goal especially, especially after Revenge of the Fallen had transformers fans crying in the street after seeing it. With a great cast, a film that seems to be made for 3-D (even if I’m against it), and an interesting plot, one can only hope that this film will be as cool as shit.
If you want to learn about the origin or the film’s title, to get an idea of what the plot will be about, cast details, and to view the actual trailer then hit the jump now!
With Shia LaBeouf returning as Sam and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replacing Megan Fox with a character of her own, we get to see a few new faces joining the Transformers line-up. In supporting roles are Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Peter Cullen and Tyrese Gibson.
If you are wondering where the teaser poster is, it is the image at the top of the post. That is the image inside of a giant rectangular black box, called a poster, so I’ve saved your eyes a little time by getting you straight to the point of the one sheet. And now behold the rather cool trailer for the film.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon hits theaters on July 1, 2011
