If you are like myself and can’t stand all the talent/music reality TV shows today, you are in luck because there is actually a reason to watch those terrible terrible shows, or at least TiVo it and fast forward to the good part. So what could that good part be? How about a 4 minute super clip from Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man. Yeah, now we have your attention.
A teaser trailer for the may 14th premiere of the footage was recently released and will coincide with the premiere of America’s Got Talent featuring Howard Stern.
While there is no new footage in the teaser, it is interesting that a 4 minute trailer will air like this. Hopefully the preview will actually feature new footage and won’t be a three minute interview that will lead up to a minute long trailer. Sony has a chance here to really sell the film and generate some buzz by doing this, so fingers crossed that they deliver on this one.
If you don’t want to watch America’s Got Talent (I don’t blame you) or don’t have a DVR device, never fear, as soon as the trailer hits the TV it will probably be online within a few minutes.
Check back on the 14th as we will have our reaction to the footage as well as discussing the film’s marketing tactics.
