When it comes to teaser posters, less is usually best. It’s meant to give you enough to get you excited and that’s about it. In the past you usually see a logo or something that seems as if not a whole lot of thought has gone into the poster. Luckily, that is not the case with the new teaser posters for The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-Man, both of which are breathtaking.
First up, Christopher Nolan‘s team kicked off the awesome viral marketing campaigning earlier this week and now, via twitter, Warner Brothers released a kick-ass poster which features Bane walking away from a “BROKEN” Batman mask. Is this foreshadowing what many have speculated about the film thus far? You decide.
Next up we move over to the Marvel universe and finally get a real poster for Marc Webb‘s remake/retelling, The Amazing Spider-Man.
It’s simple, dark and says everything it needs to without saying too much. The tag line at the bottom “The Untold Story” speaks loudly that the film is more than a remake and this is not going to be the Tobey Maguire / Sam Raimi Spider-Man that the public is use to. Expect this one to be much darker and be a bit more serious, which is implied perfectly in the poster. Thanks to SuperHeroHype for the poster
The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
I’m really hoping the Dark Knight Rises poster is given out at the prologue screening because that bad boy deserves to be in every fans home.
