After the news that Quentin Tarantino had cancelled The Hateful Eight following the script leak earlier this year, everyone was all pretty gutted. It was a drastic decision by the eccentric director who said he had been stabbed in the back, though we all hoped he’d change his mind about the cancellation.
Well now it looks like our prayers have been answered as earlier this week Tarantino had claimed the wound is beginning to scab over and he’s looking to revisit project. Joking that he may publish it as a book or turn it into a stage play, the Django Unchained director now appears to be putting the film straight into production following a live-read in LA with key actors who are set to star in the film.
Tarantino still seems to want to work on the script though, stating he wants to re-draft it at least one more time, perhaps twice, but reports are suggesting a November 2014 shoot date is now looking very likely.
It’s fantastic news that Tarantino has calmed down following the script leak. It’s very understandable why he was frustrated in the first place but it can only mean great things that the project appears to be back on track. We can’t wait to see what he has to offer us.
