Way back in the beginning of 2010, Warner Bros. announced that they would be relaunching the Looney Toons via theatrical animated shorts that would air before specific films. All three shorts will feature Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote and will be in 3D where available. Check out a clip and find out more about the Looney Toon return after the jump.
The first short, entitled Coyote Falls, was just released and can be seen before Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (which I don’t think you will ever see). The next two will appear in front of Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole and will be entitled “Fur of the flying,” while the third, entitled“Rabid Rider,” will appear before Yogi Bear.
Now while the whole short hasn’t appeared online yet, there is a 26 second clip available from the first short so that you can get an idea of what to expect. Just to let you know, I loved the clip! It is the reason why I love Looney Toons and am excited that they are returning. I didn’t think I would laugh out loud at the first clip in their new 3D form. Also, Warner Bros. did a great job of sticking with their original Looney Toons formula by not changing the humor or scenary too much. Check out the clip and tell me what you think.
