Guess who’s back? M. Night Shyamalan. I’ll keep this simple, Shyamalan’s latest is a sci-fi survival picture about Will and Jaden Smith who crash land on Earth at some point in the future where the planet has returned to its prehistoric roots. It looks like the film will mostly be about Jaden doing everything he can to survive the trecherous elements of this new Earth until help arrives. The question is, can he carry the film by himself or will it the picture rest on the strong visual elements that it clearly shows off in the trailer.
I’m rooting for Shyamalan on this one. The guy has a pretty bad streak going right now and I’m hoping After Earth is the return he desperately needs before Hollywood realizes that he isn’t the bankable part of the films he directs.
Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think. Is it something you’d be interested in seeing?
