Last night, Alexander Payne’s (Sideways, About Schmidt) new film, The Descendants, closed out the 2011 NYFF. Melissa and I had seen the film earlier in the day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. As with other major films of the festival, a new trailer has been released to coincide with its premiere and you can check it out below. The comedy and emotional drama stars George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Beau Bridges, Robert Forster, Judy Greer,Matthew Lillard, Nick Krause, Amara Miller, Mary Birdsong, Rob Huebel and Patricia Hastie.
