Poor Nick Cage. There seems to be no other actor with such an up and down career as him, and recently he’s been more “down” than up. Is his upcoming Drive Angry 3D a film that might jump start his career again? Click “more” to check out the new trailer!
Based on the trailer the film seems to be a more “grindhouse” version of Cage’s 2007 film Ghost Rider… which certainly could work, but won’t exactly win Cage any of his lost acclaim. Of course, the trailer doesn’t give any indication of what the 3-D sequences will look like, but the fact the trailer says it was “shot” in 3-D (rather than “converted” to 3-D in post-production) suggests there might be some cool action sequences.
The film also stars Amber Heard (Zombieland) and William Fitchtner (Black Hawk Down) and is directed by Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine). You can catch it in theaters in February 2011.
What do you think readers? Is this a film you’d go see — and will Nick Cage ever make a big comeback?
