The world is buzzing over Skyfall, the long-awaited third installment of Daniel Craig’s portrayal of the dashing and badass James Bond, which is set for a November 9th premiere. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, one of the most talked about voices in the music industry, Adele, has lent her vocals to the film’s theme, aptly titled “Skyfall.”
The hauntingly alluring track was released on the web without an official video to go with it yet, however a trailer with the accompanying tune has hit the web, offering another exciting reason to check out this movie.
Skyfall was a collaboration between Adele and songwriter Paul Epworth. In an article featured on MTV, she remarks, “I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for ‘Skyfall’.” She adds, “But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I’ve never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure!”
Be prepared when taking a look at the latest trailer, featuring an abridged version of the song, which shows that Adele’s hauntingly mature and soulful tone makes for a sexy companion to the upcoming Blockbuster.
