What better way to start the holidays off then with new trailers from a film that involves an alien invasion, a film that transport a human to Mars and puts him in the middle of an alien war and, last but not least, a film about demonic possession. So much holiday cheer in this article I don’t know where to begin.
First up, Hasbro’s board game adaptation Battleship has a new Japanese trailer which Universal released earlier today. Still pretty much the same stuff we have seen in the American trailers but there are a few different scenes. I still can’t get over the “pegs” being shot into the ships and the alien crafts falling in the water as if someone was actually playing the board game. Regardless, check out the trailer below. The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna, and Liam Neeson. The film hits theaters May 18.
Sticking with the Japanese trailer theme, next up is Disney’s John Carter. There are a few awesome battle scenes that we haven’t seen in the American trailers. The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church and Willem Dafoe. John Carter hits theaters March 9.
Finally the movie that just screams Christmas time, The Devil Inside, gets a red band trailer and again it’s still scary as hell. I want to send a special thank you to Paramount for the holiday greeting they sent out. It was a video with Christmas images and happy thoughtful words and then leads into the mother from this film screaming and flipping out. It scared the crap out of me because I was not expecting it at all. The film stars Fernanda Andrade, Isabella Rossi, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth, Ionut Grama, Suzan Crowley, Bonnie Morgan, Brian Johnson, Preston James Hillier and D.T. Carney. The Devil Inside will start giving people nightmares January 6.
