One of the more enjoyable and suspenseful films at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival was Frédéric Jardin’s Sleepless Night. The thriller takes place over the course of 24 hours as a cop named Vincent, played by Tomer Sisley (Largo Winch), must deliver the drugs he stole from a drug lord in order to save his son. What starts off as a simple trade turns into complete mayhem for Vincent as time begins to run out and cops begin to tail him and the dealer goes on a mission to end him. You can read my full review of the film HERE.
Though it had been about three weeks since I had seen the film, I was lucky enough to snag a one on one interview with Tomer Sisley, the star of the feature. In our interview, Tomer discusses how he transitioned from such a large film like Largo Winch to a much smaller one like Sleepless Night. He also goes into detail about his love of finding the drama amongst the action, working with Frederic, potential remakes already in the works and details on his next film about the boxer Victor “Young” Perez, which he also happened to write.
