It took a while but we finally have the actors who will be portraying the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the Michale Bay produced/Jonathan Liebesman directed reboot. While Raphael was the first to be announced, I waited until the other three were confirmed to post it to the site. The line-up is as follows:
Raphael is to be played by Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Pete Ploszek (Parks & Recreation) is Leonardo, Donatello is Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher (Shameless) is Michelangelo. If you’re wondering who the hell these guys are, you’re not alone. Paramount has gone with some pretty low level names but that could work out well since the film is going the motion capture route, so whether of not these guys are great actors or not, we don’t have to worry about seeing their faces. While it could be fun, and these guys will probably do their best to make it fun since the fan base is so large, it could go horribly wrong, especially when the biggest star attached to a massively popular franchise is Megan Fox.
That being said, we already know that Megan Fox will be April O’Neil and so the next, and potentially final major piece of the film, is the casting of Shredder and whatever minions he plans on utilizing. While Casey Jones was originally thought to be in the film, there hasn’t been any word on an appearance by him so there is a chance he isn’t in the film.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been delayed a few times already but it’s looking like the June 6, 2014 release date is here to stay (for now).
