Some of you know the name Paddy Considine. Heck, you might even know what he looks like because chances are you’ve seen him in films and didn’t even know it. The guy has been in films such as The Bourne Ultimatum, Blitz, Hot Fuzz and Cinderella Man.
After writing and directing a short film called Dog Altogether, Considine had decided to make it a full length feature called Tyrannosaur starring the great Peter Mullan (NEDS) in the lead role along with Olivia Colman in a co-starring role. The film debuted at Sundance to rave reviews and also premiered at the New Directors/New Films festival. Believe you me when I say that I was very upset that I didn’t get a chance to catch the film.
Well now we all have the opportunity to get a taste of this intense drama and see what everyone is talking about. I was more than impressed after I gave it a watch and I think you will as well, once you get past the very heavy English accent that Mullan starts the trailer off with. Check out the trailer for Tyrannosaur and let us know what you think of it in the comments section below.
Joseph (Mullen) is a man plagued by violence and rage that is driving him to self-destruction. As Joseph’s life spirals into turmoil, a chance of redemption appears in the form of Hannah (Colman), a Christian charity shop worker. Their relationship develops to reveal that Hannah is hiding a secret of her own which has devastating results on both of their lives.
