As the Toronto International Film Festival slowly approaches one thing is for sure, we are going to be slammed by tons of new trailers, posters and stills for films that will be premiering at the Canadian festival. One such film that will making its debut thereis Daniel Nettheim’s The Hunter, a film which has been adapted from Julia Leigh’s 2001 novel of the same name.
The psychological drama stars Willem DaFoe, Sam Neill and Frances O’Connor in what appears to be a beautiful looking film that may also pack a heavy punch.
The Hunter is a powerful psychological drama that tells the story of Martin, a mercenary sent from Europe by a mysterious biotech company to the Tasmanian wilderness on a dramatic hunt for the last Tasmanian tiger.
Like I mentioned, the trailer looks beautiful and I’m really curious to hear/see how this one turns out. The Hunter will be released in Australia on October 6th but hopefully it’ll get some sort of limited release here in the states. Check out the trailer below and don’t forget to share your thoughts with us.
