Well it was earlier this week that I was complaining that we hadn’t seen much on X-Men: First Class yet, which is scheduled to be released in less than six months. The cast pic that MovieBuzzers brought you seemed to have ruffled some feathers — particularly those of director Matthew Vaughn, who has complained about the leaked image. To make up for it (I guess), Fox has more or less gone into overdrive to release info and pics from the film, including the first official teaser poster (see above!) from Ain’t It Cool News. But that isn’t all… after the jump you’ll get a glimpse of the young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) in his helmet and Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) in action!
Here you can see Magneto getting ready to do some damage…
Vaughn had this to say to SlashFilm about the costumes of the characters, which resemble the classic 1960s costumes of the X-Men in the comics:
The costumes are blue and yellow as well, because fuck it, lets take it back it to the original. Also, by the way, those costumes are hardly in the movie. The main costumes are like these cool 60’s James Bond
And here you can see Professor Xavier, probably messing with somebody’s mind. I don’t quite get the gloves on him … I mean, I know he’s English but that doesn’t mean he has to look like a Charles Dickens character…
X-Men: First Class is set for a June 3rd release and also stars January Jones (Emma Frost), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), and Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw).
