While coming a little later than anticipated, I’m excited to announce that Tak Sakaguchi and Yûdai Yamaguchi’s Yakuza Weapon is finally coming to Blu-ray and DVD! The wildly funny and action packed Sushi Typhoon picture is being brought to the home entertainment market by Well Go USA on February 7th.
I had an opportunity to see this film when it was being co-presented by the NYAFF and Japan Cuts Festival along with attending an after party with the stars. Both were events worth and attending and both were equally awesome by their own right. I got to drink beer with badass Yakuza stars, who wouldn’t want that? You can read my glorified review here.
Details about the release are below and be sure to keep an eye out for a blu-ray/DVD combo review when February rolls around. PS I suggest making a drinking game out of this movie, it’ll make it that much more fun.
