Ong Bak 3 Trailer hits with More Vengeance!!!!!!

| by Alex DiGiovanna | Trailers | Comments

TONY JAA IS BACK with his third installment of the popular fighting trilogy, Ong Bak. The trailer gives you a pretty good idea of what the movie is going to be about. Simply put, it is a movie based on vengeance, and let’s face the fact that I love vengeance and so does this movie’s target demographic . With new Muay Thai kill combos coupled with a barbaric appearance, Tony Jaa is back and promises to bring to the screen what we all love about him, his ability to kick ass. This could very well be the best martial arts trilogy out there. Check out the new trailer after the jump Read more »

Check out the New Zealand ‘Boy’ Trailer

| by Alex DiGiovanna | Trailers | Comments

Michael Jackson, rugby, superpowers, and deep sea treasure diving are just a few of the fantastic characteristics of this movie. Intrigued yet? I am. This is the first trailer I have decided to post about a movie premiering at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. The movie, directed by Taika Cohen (Eagle vs. Shark), is entitled Boy. I know, the title tells you a lot, doesn’t it? Even if it doesn’t, watch the trailer because it’s a fun and uplifting Michael Jackson filled event. The trailer has almost a Son of Rambow feel to it even though the plot is totally different. Check it out after the jump. Read more »

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance Review (South Korea)

| by Alex DiGiovanna | Movie Reviews, Trailers | Comments

Lady Vengeance (Chinjeolhan geumjassi), the third installment in the Park Chan Wook Vengeance Trilogy, is a much different take on the concept of revenge. Just when I thought all hope was lost for solid, vengeful female performances, along comes Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’s (Lady Vengeance for short) Yeong-ae Lee (JSA), as Geum-ja Jee, to kick some ass. A very different movie than its predecessors, Lady Vengeance is about vengeance from a female perspective based off of a kidnapping much different from the types in Oldboy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance Review (South Korea)–a MUST SEE Movie!

| by Alex DiGiovanna | Movie Reviews, Trailers | Comments

They say there is a first time for everything, well my reaction after Park Chan-wook’s Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (Boksuneun naui geot – 2002) was definitely a first for me. Last night, I sat stunned for five minutes trying to decide who to actually sympathize with, no pun intended. The story, acting, and directing made it almost impossible for me to decipher who the actual protagonist was and who the antagonist was, leaving my ability to empathize equally split amongst the characters in the story. Christopher Nolan’s Inception Trailer #2

| by Alex DiGiovanna | News, Trailers | Comments

On July 16, 2010, the movie Inception will be released. It is the highly anticipated follow-up from director by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight). The trailer, embedded below, gives us a much more in-depth look at the trippy mind adventure that we, the audience, are going to experience on that midsummer night. The trailer looks much cooler and far-out than what I was initially expecting judging from the secretive teaser trailer. Check out the trailer after the jump. Read more »
